Tuesday, 21 November 2006:

Today I rode up to Jacksonville. Thursday, every single one of my living relatives except my two cousins are going to gather for Thanksgiving dinner at my brother Kevin's place. For the record, my Dad and his wife Pat, my brother Mike, my brother Kevin and his wife Debbie, their two daughters Laura and Erica, Erica's husband Nordell and their baby boy Rivers, my sister Lisa and her husband Joe and son Joey, and my Uncle Herb and his wife Mary will be on hand.

I still do not have this business of loading the bike for a trip down pat. Took me until 14:00 to get ready to launch, and here is what it looks like fully loaded - you might say I am a Beverly Phillybilly, at least as far as packing a vehicle goes...

Took me until 20:30 to get to Jax - and even bundled up MAN! was it a long, cold ride. More layers... I did arrive safely, if gelid, and quickly warmed up inside with some hot tea. Another long day.
